Fishing with Steve and Dave

What an incredible couple of days it has been guiding Hot Creek this week! A few fishing reports back, I mentioned a bit about fishing and guiding during and after the runoff. It seems to be the best time of year to spot and cast to our largest local natives. This runoff period, so far, has stayed true. The big guys that are unbelievably recluse for eleven months of the year are easily hookable right now. I was lucky enough to guide some great clients earlier this week and we hooked an amazing number of large trout. Most of the big fish we hooked were within a foot or two of the banks. The good combination of high and clear water should last for at least three or four more weeks at Hot Creek and the East Walker, let’s go fishing!!!
