August Fishing Report

All is good up here in the Eastern Sierras. I haven’t been to  any river, creek, or lake that isn’t fishing superb right now. The water is gin clear and the August weeds are still not up thanks to all of the snowmelt this year. June Fishing Report

The melt is on. Historic flows are finally on the downswing. Hot Creek and The East Walker have both seen record all time flows. I am a huge believer in silver linings, and this summer we will all reap the rewards of all this water. The flows do an amazing job of cleaning all the debris and silt covering all the rocks that our aquatic insect friends need. We should really see an amazing number of hatches this summer as well as all of next year on our local creeks and rivers. Read more

May Fishing Report

The month of May has not been much different than the other four months so far this year. Wind, snow, cold, and more wind have been a bit of a challenge in the late spring.  However, fishing has still been quite good, and the wicked weather will finally be over soon.
